4/5/2017. I’d been thinking about the front end being too high. Maybe I’ll have to get new springs made, but how do I spec them? Seems like a hit-or-miss proposition. Shortly after I bought my 1971 LT-1 Corvette in 1977, I replaced the front coils and rear leaf spring with F41 springs purchased from Chevrolet. Then 15 years ago or so I replaced the suspension with a Competition Plus system from Vette Brakes and Products. It included composite springs front and rear. So I removed the front coils on the ’65 and replaced them with the F41 springs. The reasoning was that they were a known entity, and specifying replacements would be easier. But I didn’t have to. The F41 front coils dropped the front perfectly. Problem solved.
