8/3/2014. Body and frame part company. I bought a sling designed to lift a Corvette body, and straps just the right length to be able to use an engine hoist. Body removal was more difficult with the rear valence permanently installed. It had to be pushed down in the back while the chassis was moved forward to swing it around the frame. Once the body was free, the hoist basically was moved back, and the chassis rolled forward. The frame (thankfully) was in remarkably good shape, with no collision damage or rust. Both serial numbers on the frame matched the VIN. So the frame came with that body, or at least the frame came with the VIN tag that was riveted to the body. The chassis was stored in the back under cover for over a year until I could get to it.
