1/24/2017. The old tank had been repaired one too many times and needed to be replaced. The filler neck I fabricated that would accommodate the LeMans cap was unusable because the orientation of the body to the frame had changed. I fabricated an adapter that would bolt to the tank. A rubber gas hose then connected the adapter to a Tanks, Inc. filler neck and quick fill cap. Then the LeMans cap would have to be rigidly mounted to the body. Not the best solutions.

There was a close call with the first sending unit. It had a short that could have ignited fuel if there had been any in the tank.
