5/28/2016. It’s pretty simple to add lubricant to the transmission before installation in the chassis. But I couldn’t get the fill plug out. It just rounded and chipped off until it was hopeless. I removed the trans and took it back to Bill where we had to take the trans back apart. We drilled the plug and used a big thread extractor to get the threads out. Didn’t damage the case. While we were at it, we added a drain plug that the M22s have. So why did the plug fail? Because it was a cast pipe plug. Unbelievable.
