Peter Brock
In 2012, we (Hagerty) had the opportunity to interview legendary automotive designer Peter Brock and discuss the making of the Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe, while taking a cruise in Brock’s own replica car built by Superformance in South Africa.

Thanks, Tom.
Great interviews. I really enjoyed them.
Great footage. Don’t understand how any of Shelby’s people could have thought the car was ugly. Loved it in the beautiful blue of the original car. Peter Brock is not only a great designer but a great driver.
When Brock was young, before he worked for Shelby, he worked for and was mentored by the great Max Balchowsky, builder of the legendary race car Old Yeller II and the man who prepped the 2 Mustang’s and 3 Charger’s used in the movie Bullitt, Herbie the Love Bug and too many other movie cars to list, Max Balchowsky is the unsung hero of American road racing, look up him and his wife Ina’s story and the story of Old Yeller II online and on YouTube, it’s absolutely incredible.
