I was one of Max's ACCD students at the time. He WANTED a triple black, RS, 350c.i./4 speed with F41 suspension. Unfortunately the Camaro/Firebird plant was having a strike so new cars were not availible. The used, blue Camaro was a regular, 307/AT car with base suspension. However, when I told him about it, his 68 Firebird was promptly traded! Mac, along with Ted Youngkin were-by far-the two best instructors I had at the "old" ACCD Campus. In my time that was the technique he taught: black Veri-Thin pencil on vellum. He was a hero to most of us, because he knew everything about cars and the people involved.
